A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to our fundraising for the Roundhouse Project. We’re delighted to announce that this week our target was met, and that together we’ve raised £44,040! Your generosity and goodwill has been a real source of encouragement to the Community, and we’ve been truly humbled by the response we’ve received from both friends and strangers.

Work begins!

On Monday the ground screws were installed and the base was put in place (see photograph above). This probably took longer than the team imagined it would. The soil here is rather shallow, and you soon hit sandstone. On the positive side, after eight and a half hours of trying to overcome lithic resistance, we both agreed that it was securely anchored to the ground.


As you can see, at the moment it looks a bit like a trampoline. Rotunda Eco-Build will return this coming Monday to begin the construction proper. Expect more photographs!
