Quiet Days

Library

‘I have calmed and quieted my soul’ – Psalm 131

Quiet Days are an ideal way of redressing the balance in our busy lives: a time to listen, reflect, be silent, pray and draw closer to the Spirit of God.

We offer Quiet Days for those who would like to spend the day with us, usually sometime between 10am and Compline. Guests have the exclusive use of a small day room in the Guest Wing and are welcome to make use of the chapel, library and grounds. There is a mid-day Eucharist and guests can join us during their visit for the offices of None, Vespers and Compline. Lunch and supper are provided in the refectory as requested.

Unfortunately the Community does not have the resources to offer individually guided retreats, but a small number of the Brothers and Sisters are available for spiritual direction. If you would like to speak to someone during your stay with us it would be helpful to let us know when you make your booking.

Cost

The suggested donation for a Quiet Day without meals is: £9 (without lunch), £11 (with lunch) £13 (with lunch and supper).
